Cheers, Ta.

Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.

This Week's Topic:

What writing or publishing-related thing(s) are you most thankful for?

There are 2 things I am grateful for. The first is the great friends i have made in real life and online through my journey to learn more about writing and one day be published. It's a great community and I've met some of the warmest, greatest people both published and unpublished.
The second is the books. It's the brilliant books I get to read every day. I'm grateful someone believed in them enough to put them out there and others spoke about them or made a great cover or blurb or whatever made it catch my eyes.
I love the books.
What are you grateful for?

  1. Two awesome things to be grateful for. I totally agree :) I'm thankful for you everyday! x

  2. My list is very similar to yours.
Books and friends are a very important part of my life!

  3. Readers and writers. People who read my blog, comment, and generally provide me with inspiration and encouragement. And writers--those wildly talented people who write the books and blogs that make me think, react, or escape for a few hours. Both are invaluable gifts.

Are you from the UK, Beck? Your use of "cheers" "ta" and "brilliant" lead me to believe you are of English nationality. If you aren't, you clearly watch way too much Brit TV! ;)

  4. From south australia Colin, and we're more english accent/words than east coast Aussie!

  5. I'm so glad to see that not only do we writers have great support, we're smart enough to appreciate them! And so many books this year have made me grateful that someone in publishing knew how great they were so that we could read them.

  6. South Australia? Wow--you learn something new everyday! :)

i love comments. they make me happy.
