What was the best book you read in Feb?
This time it was easy. my road trip meant that i couldn't read the number of books i wanted to but the BEST was easily
It captivated me from start to finish and I can't express how much i hurt and loved it at the same time. I know I'm a bit late to this cos the buzz has been around for a while but I'm glad I finally took other RTW'ers advice and moved it to the top of my TBR pile!!
It made me ache to read it with some stuff pretty close to home but I love a book that can make me feel and this worked so well I'm still thinking about it.
If you haven't.... READ it!!
What about you, any good books in Feb?
This isn't the first time I've seen that book mentioned today. I guess I better read it! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteDo, do!
DeleteThis is not only on my TBR list--it's on my desk. March may be the month I get to it. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's March now - have you read it? i couldn't stop once i started!
DeleteTFIOS was so so so good. I couldn't put it down, even when I desperately wanted to (out of sadness, not boredom) toward the end. Beautifully written, honest, hilarious, and bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteSame here. It was just magic.
DeleteThis book was all the talk of our thyroid cancer survivors board, with at least one "It's written so well you'd never know it was young adult!" Grrr
ReplyDeleteAm Grrrrrring in unison!
DeleteI also hurt while reading the book, it was so beautiful and sad without being sad...Definitely a roller coaster of emotions!
ReplyDeletei knew it would hurt, but read it anyway. Sometimes that hurt is almost a little cleansing...
DeleteThat "close to home" thing is the reason why I haven't read it yet. It's on my list -- just need to gear up for it emotionally.
ReplyDeleteStrangely i chose a particularly tough week for our family in terms of anniversaries to read it. And I prob found it harder even than any other week. but it was still so good and was worth it.
DeleteAgreed with your choice. Best book I've read in QUITE some time. Loved it.
