This Week's
Topic:
I love, love, love Divergent and have thought a fair bit
about this one. I’ll start with what I’d like to be… definitely Dauntless.
from Merriam Webster:
DAUNTLESS: fearless, undaunted.
Undaunted: courageously resolute, especially in the face of danger or difficulty;
not discouraged.
I would love to be this. I adore Tris and think that lacking
fear would give me a freedom to act when I am so often caught up in
indecision. Being a writer means I’ve
got the not discouraged (mostly) working though.
However… it’s not really me.
I crave peace and would love that about Amity and I have a
PhD in laser chem so I’ve searched for knowledge for years and years (and
years) which make Erudite appeal.
Rather than divergent though, maybe I need a new kind of faction…
Messy?
How about you?
I'm definitely not dauntless... and I don't know I want to be. All that jumping on and off trains and fighting--too much like exercise! I think perhaps Verbosity would suit me best. :)
ReplyDeleteYea, am afraid of heights here. But i do try to pretend not to be... Like your new faction there.
DeleteI apparently am most like dauntless - though I don't like violence as the answer to everything so I guess that makes me a dauntless/amity mix if something like that is even possible!
ReplyDeleteMakes perfect sense to me!
DeleteMaybe you can do rotations in all three: Dauntless, Amity and Erudite. Just when you've had enough violence, you can move over to the Amity phase and then, when peace has you bored out of your mind you can head over to Erudite ;) What a cycle that would be! haha
ReplyDeleteHaha! great idea!!
DeleteDauntless all the way.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous that you are so sure. I'm so, so indecisive!
DeleteI only wish I was Dauntless. There should be a faction for total chickens--that would probably be where I would end up. As terrible as the Erudite end up being, I think that's where I'd probably end up.
ReplyDeleteI'll join the chicken faction... as long as there are no accompanying sacrifices!!
DeleteI wish I was Dauntless too. :) Guess we're all a bit Divergent.
