This Week's
Topic:
What was your best book for
Feb?
This was an easy one... because I only finished it a few hours ago. I'm a bit late on this cos I've heard raves about the book but with a huge TBR pile I kinda hadn't really listened.
I'm glad I did.
I adored Cinder by Marissa Meyer.
It was fresh and captivating and I haven't sat and finished a book in one sitting for ages. I didn't LET life get in the way.
I loved Cinder. Like, a lot. She was relatable and different and everything I'd want. The world was interesting and Kai was a great hero. I wasn't blindsided by some of the twists but still enjoyed them. Would certainly recommend this book.
What about you? Read anything good in Feb??
I love it when you just *have* to read a book in one sitting. Nothing cooler. :)
ReplyDeleteWith how crazy my life is an the moment that tells me it's a great read!!
DeleteThis book isn't usually the type of book that I'd go for, but I've heard so many wonderful things about it that I finally got it from the library and am hoping to read it soon.
ReplyDeleteI found the familiarity of the Cinderella tale comforting as a framework but it was certainly original.
DeleteI STILL haven't read Cinder (I am so behind the times!). I need to make a little time for it -- I keep hearing great things about that book.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite Feb reads was the sequel to Cinder (Scarlet). I couldn't read it all in one go (had to get on a plane) - but nearly!! I also LOVED Insignia by S.J. Kincaid.
