Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
This Week's Topic:
What's been your most surprising read of the year
so far---the book you weren't sure about going in that really swept you off your
feet?
I've read quite a few great books this year but the one that really surprised me was The Name of The Star by Maureen Johnson.
I'm not sure it's the very best but I have to say I didn't think I'd love it. And I did. And I was terrified and it left me thinking for ages. All of which surprised me. I think it was the way just when I thought I was comfortable reading the stakes twisted and upped and I gasped and had to turn the next page.
What about you?
I really, really need to read this one. I've heard such great things.
ReplyDeleteDi it!! but be prepared to be a little scared.
DeleteWell, now it's on my TBR list. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this one yet, but it sounds really interesting so I know I will at some point!
ReplyDeleteThere are lots out there and a limited number of hours in the day.
DeleteI have this book on my next book to read list, so I'm happy to read another rave for it. :)
ReplyDeleteI saw lots of raves too which made me read it finally.
